Doctrine of Peace

VOLUME ONE - CHAPTER EIGHT

O LORD GOD, our heavenly Father, God of life, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, (the promise of God), gather your people and assemble us out of all the places where we are scattered. And give us one heart, and put a new spirit within us, and take the stony heart out of our flesh, and give us a heart of flesh. And we shall come, taking away all the detestable things and all the abominations, walking in your statutes, and keeping your ordinances, and we shall be your people, and you our God.

LORD GOD, bring the day you called, and make the new covenant with us, your people. Not according to the old covenant that you made with our fathers, it is now decayed and waxed old and ready to vanish away. But put your laws into our hearts, and in our minds write them; and our sins and iniquities remember no more. And the people shall call you, Our Father; and shall not turn away from you. For you, O LORD GOD, art our Father, our redeemer and your name is from everlasting, our God, and we are your people.

Give us a new heart, make the woman (the heart of all) that come into our house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel. And let the house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the LORD gives unto this new woman. That she bare and raise up faithful priests, which shall do according to which is in your heart and in your mind: sure houses walking before you for ever. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for ever. Amen.

Thus says the LORD, shall you build me a house for me to dwell in? In all wherein I have walked spoke I a word with any whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why build you not me a house of cedar?

LORD I shall build a house for your name, for you O LORD of hosts, have revealed unto me, saying, Go up to the mountain, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified. Therefore my heart brought forth this prayer unto you. And now, O Lord God, your word is true, therefore bless the house of your servant, that I may continue for ever before you.

Wherefore I come to build an altar unto the LORD, (belief of the truth), that the plague be stayed from the people. And behold, I purpose to build a house unto your fame and renown, as you spoke unto David, (the mercy of God), saying, your son, whom I will set upon your throne in your room, he shall build the house unto my name. For you have not dwelt in any house since the day that you brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and away from tabernacles. Now we your people, set our heart and our soul to seek the LORD God; to arise and build the Sanctuary of the LORD God and bring the covenant of the LORD into the house that is to be built for your name. The place, O LORD, made for you to dwell in, the Sanctuary, O Lord, your hands have established.

I have in my heart to build the house of rest, for the covenant of the LORD, and the footstool of our God. As you said unto Solomon, (the wisdom of God), build my house and my courts: for I have chosen that through wisdom is a house build, and by understanding it is established.

O LORD God, all this store, you have prepared to build the house for your holy name. I know also, my God, that you try the heart and pleasure in uprightness. In the uprightness of my heart I willingly offer all, and now shall I see with joy your people, which are present here with me, offer willingly unto you. O Lord God, prepare their heart unto you. And give them the wisdom of a sound mind and a perfect heart to build the house, that which you have made provisions. And the house which we shall build, endued with prudence and understanding, shall be great. And bless the LORD God, who with your hands fulfilled that which you spoke with your mouth, and in this generation chosen mercy and wisdom to be over your people.

LORD you see the distress that we are in: how Jerusalem is waste and the gates thereof are burned with fire. For this Jerusalem, which now is, is in bondage with her children. O LORD GOD, appear in your glory and save us. Except you build the house, we labor in vain.

And now I declare the decree that the time is now come, the time that the LORD'S house must be built. And we shall labor together with you, O LORD, for we are God's buildings. Earthy houses, joined together, the building of God, the house not made with hands. Celestial bodies and bodies terrestrial: the first man, earthy and the second man, heavenly. We have borne the image of the earthy, natural, devilish, envying and strife, confusion and every evil work, LORD grant now that we also bear the image of the heavenly, which is pure, peaceable, gentle, full of mercy and wisdom. Now we desire the better, that is, the heavenly, wherefore LORD God you are not ashamed to be called our God. For you have prepared for us a city, and now we come unto mount Zion, unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem.

For as the earthy body is one and has many members, all the members of that one body, being many, is one body. And if the ear shall say, because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body an eye, where the hearing? If the whole hearing, where the smelling?

For the heavenly body also is not one member, but many and LORD God you tempered the body together, that there should be no division in the body that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffers all the members suffer with it; or a lone member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. Now we desire to be this one body, the house LORD God you have chosen to put your name there and members in particular.

But some will say, How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come? The knowledge of God is sown in a natural body; it is raised in a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know, because they are spiritually discerned.

We understand that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. For since by man came death, by man also the resurrection of the dead. For as in the first man Adam all die, even so in the second man all shall be made alive. And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul, the last Adam a life giving spirit. And that the law of the Spirit of life make us free from the law of sin and death.

The whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which each joint supplies, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, making increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works, for that is his portion. Therefore if the measure of his work is to farm, should not his rejoicing be in that the whole body is fed? Therefore hunger in any body is the enemy of every body, the heavenly body. No longer shall we wrestle with flesh and blood, the natural body, but against principles and powers of this world, spiritual wickedness in the heavenly body. For we are members of your body, of your flesh, and of your bones. Holding the Head, from which all the body having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increases with the increase of God.

God of peace, rule in our heart and call us into this one body. And sanctify us wholly, our whole spirit and soul and body preserved blameless, sanctified through the offering of the heavenly body once for all. Remembering those that are in bonds as bound with them; and those which suffers adversity, as being also in the body. For we were once servants of sin in the land of bondage, therefore we shall not say to any man, Depart in peace, be warmed and filled, without giving those things needful to the body.

But fitly framed together we grow unto the holy temple, and Jerusalem is build as a city that is compact together. Our heart comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the understanding of the mystery of God, the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. LORD GOD, our heavenly Father, we love you. Amen.

All my bones are out of joint, the people scattered abroad and dispersed, the work is great and large, and you are separated upon the wall, one far from another. Give unto the LORD an offering in your generation: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the LORD unto you and to your seed with you. You shall not do, every man, whatsoever seems right in his own eyes. For you are not yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD God gives you.

Bring me an offering of every man that gives it willingly with his heart: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it. Every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one, whom his spirit makes willing bring the LORD'S offering, to the work of the building of the house of God.

Bring the offerings that all have enough to eat, and give into the hands of him that have the oversight of building the house of the LORD. And he shall lay it out to all that labor in the building, the builders that work to repair the breaches of the house of the LORD. And reckon not of them of the money that is delivered into their hands, because they shall deal faithfully. And the LORD shall bless his people with this great store. Therefore bring the offerings and the tithes and dedicate it faithfully, the freewill offerings of God that is to be distributed.

Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed me. But you say, Wherein have we robbed you? In tithes and offerings. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that is enough.
