VOLUME ONE - CHAPTER 39

Take up the mantle that fell unto you and bring forth new fruit according to the waters that issue out of the sanctuary: and make the whole earth of one language, and of one speech. And when the people are one, and they have all one language, nothing will be restrained from them, which they imagine to do. This I ordain for a testimony, for then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may serve me with one consent, and pronounce with their lips, good. And whatsoever it is that a man shall pronounce, whatsoever proceeds out of his lips, shall stand.

But I strengthen you with my mouth and the moving of my lips, my words and my lips utter knowledge clearly. Hear the right, concerning the works of men, by the word of your lips I give your heart's desire, and will not withhold the request: grace is poured into your lips and I bless you for ever.

Open your mouth, and with joyful lips declare all the judgments, regard discretion, and speak of excellent things, of right things. Speak truth, understanding wisdom feed many, and knowing what is acceptable deal truly, preserving my people with the lips of knowledge. And in all your labors disperse knowledge, a divine sentence, and increase learning.

Excellent speech becomes the lips of a prince, and esteems a man of understanding. Satisfied with the fruit of your mouth and with the increase of your lips, walk in integrity, for your eyes have seen the King and I have touched your lips. Speak to my people peace, truth is in your mouth, walk with me in peace and equity. The lips of truth are established for ever, as my strength, both to go out, and to come in.
