Doctrine of Peace

VOLUME ONE - CHAPTER 20

And there came two angels on the fourteenth day of the month, at evening you eat flesh, and in the morning you are filled with bread, the one lamb you offer in the morning and the other lamb you offer at evening.

They kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at evening in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel. The fourteenth day of the second month you shall keep it. But at the place which the LORD God shall choose to place his name in, there you shall sacrifice the passover. In the morning, it flourishes and grows up, and the vision of the evening and the morning, which was told, is true.

Draw out and take you a lamb and offer the passover. Thus you shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, and delivers our houses. On the fifteenth day, on to morrow after the passover, you shall eat of the old corn of the land, unleavened cakes, and parched in the selfsame day.

Keep the passover unto the LORD God, as written in the book of this covenant, this passover is held to the LORD in Jerusalem. Come to the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, all the congregation and keep the passover in the second month. Establish a decree and make a proclamation to keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel at Jerusalem, for you have not done it as it was written.

LORD GOD we do offer the passover on the fourteenth of the second month. LORD pardon every one that prepares his heart to seek God, the LORD God of our fathers, though not according to the purification of the sanctuary. So we offer the passover, and sanctify ourselves, that we may do according to the word of the LORD. We purge out therefore the old leaven, that we may be a new lump, as unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us. Through faith we keep the passover, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch us.
