VOLUME ONE - CHAPTER 17

I, the LORD, make a law over the land, this day, and confirm the same for an everlasting covenant, saying, Unto you the LORD God gives the land of promise, the lot of your inheritance. The throne of iniquity, which frames mischief by law, shall not have fellowship with you.

I have not gone back from the commandment of God, and I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary. But you shall observe this word for an ordinance to you and to your children forever. For I teach you ordinances and laws, and show you the way wherein you must walk, and the work that you must do. And if these ordinances depart not from before me, you shall not cease from being a nation before me forever.

Diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD God, do that which is right in his sight, and give ear to his commandments, and keep all this statutes, I put none of the diseases upon you which are brought upon the carnally minded: I am the LORD that heals you. I wash your hands and your feet that you die not, and it is a statute forever in your generations, a perpetual statute: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the LORD God unto you and to your seed with you.

I make a covenant with you, in the perfect will of God, from this day forward for a statute and law for all the people of God. When you have a matter, you come unto me; and I judge between one and another. And I do make known the statutes of God, and his laws that you may teach your children all which the LORD God shall speak.

Now therefore hearken, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, and do them that you live in the land the LORD God gives you. Behold, I teach you statutes and judgments, as the LORD God commands me. Keep therefore and do, for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. And what nation is so great, and that has statutes and judgments righteous as all which I set before you, this day.

You shall keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command you, this day, that it may go well with you, and with your children, and that you prolong days upon the earth, which the LORD God gives you, forever. Hear the statutes and judgments I speak in your ears this day, learn them, keep them, and do them.

Now this is the commandment the LORD God commands that I teach, you shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he commands you. When your children ask in time to come, saying, What are these testimonies and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD God has commanded you? You shall say, the LORD commands us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD God, for our good always that he might preserve us alive, as at this day.

You shall therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command you this day, to do them. And you shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments, which I set before you, this day. Beloved, one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day, therefore these statutes and judgments you shall observe to do in the land, all the days that you live upon the earth.

This day the LORD God commands you to do these statutes and judgments: you shall therefore keep and do them with all your heart, and with all your soul. You have avouched the LORD God this day to be your God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice. You shall therefore obey the voice of the LORD God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command you this day.

The LORD God has lengthened your days that he may incline your hearts unto him. Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD God, walk in his statutes, and keep his commandments, as this day. And if you will walk before me in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I command you, and will keep my statutes and my judgments, ordinance, and the commandments which I write for you, and observe to do them for evermore, you shall prosper.

Take heed to fulfill the statutes and judgments the LORD God charged me with concerning you and be strong, and of good courage, dread not, nor be dismayed. And the LORD God will give unto you a perfect heart, to keep his commandments, his testimonies, and his statutes, and to do all, and to build the house which he has made provision.

And what cause so ever shall come to you of your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and judgments, I shall warn you that you trespass not against the LORD. Neither will the LORD God any more remove your foot from out of the land, so that you will take heed to do all that I command you, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by my hand.

Now I stand in my place and make a covenant before the LORD God, to walk after the LORD God, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all my heart, and with all my soul. And to perform the words of the covenant which are written in this book.
